11 months ago, LG released its Transparent OLED TV. It's available again just in time for the holiday season.
This design builds on previous innovations, such as LG’s rollable OLED TV, and takes another step toward creating technology that fits seamlessly into modern living spaces.
The OLED T introduces a contrast filter that can be adjusted depending on your viewing needs. When watching shows or movies, you can use the traditional viewing mode with the filter in place. For other uses, the filter can be lowered, allowing the screen to become transparent. This feature creates a striking visual effect, blending the TV into the background when not in use and making it part of the room's design.
Instead of a standard wall-mounted setup, the OLED T comes with a custom cabinet that can be positioned anywhere in a room. The transparent display reduces the impact on your room's layout and keeps the TV from dominating the space. This versatility allows it to act as both a functional device and an aesthetic feature, offering flexibility for different settings.
LG’s webOS software has been adjusted to match the transparent display. This tailored interface offers a slightly different experience compared to other LG OLED models, like the C4 or B4. These changes ensure the screen’s features and functionality are optimized for its unique design.
