The MHT300 can deliver between 120-150W of power to each connected speaker while driving all seven channels, ensuring every explosion, car chase, and high-speed fighter jet flyby is reproduced with full power across all speakers. In terms of video, the MHT300 supports up to 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz across all four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, resulting in stunning visuals to complement the incredible sound.
Not only does McIntosh focus on providing unparalleled sound, but they also designed the MHT300 to be customizable and expandable.
Individual amplifier modules can be configured to suit any specific speaker setup. Additional external amplifiers can be connected to power the included Height 1 and Height 2 audio outputs, transforming the MHT300 into a 7.2.4 home theater receiver. With Dirac Live Room Correction, users can tailor the system's sound by adjusting the audio output to work with their home theater's unique acoustics.
McIntosh President Charlie Randall expressed his excitement about the MHT300, stating, "Considering the increase in video streaming services over the last decade, we are excited to share our latest innovation in home theater with our customers for them to better enjoy their entertainment in the comfort of their home."

The MHT300 includes all the traditional McIntosh design cues, such as the signature black glass front panel, an illuminated McIntosh logo, rotary control knobs, and a familiar form factor highlighted by silver trim, all housed in a robust and durable chassis.
Key features of the MHT300 include Power Guard signal overload technology, which prevents overdriving and damage to speakers. Sentry Monitor short-circuit protection automatically disengages the output stage if the current approaches unsafe operating levels and resets automatically when operating conditions normalize.
Additionally, the MHT300 has an eco-friendly on/off signal sensing that turns the unit off when no input signal is detected for a set amount of time and automatically turns the power on when it senses a signal from the home theater processor. As a bonus, the MHT300 features a regular FM Tuner for enjoying free-to-air radio broadcasts in hi-fi stereo quality.
